tingling in left hand?

the past few hours my left hand has been tingling, its has in the past but never really lasted this long.

I looked it up on the web and got back that its from carpal tunnel???

anyone else have this?

should I call the doctor? I've never had BP issues either so, not to sure.

Re: tingling in left hand?

  • I have been numb and tingly for the last couple months now in both my hands. There is not really anything that can be done. Using a wrist brace at night helps some and there is always surgery but since it is a pregnancy related issue it should go away once you have your LO. I would talk to my doc about it at my next appt. but I don't think you should be too concerned. I am just waiting out the last few days for LO to come and then I should be able to feel again.

Yep, ditto all this. I had it really bad with DD1 (but I had tons of swelling with her and was at a desk/computer job all day), hasn't been so bad this time around, but I do wear my braces most nights.

  • carpal tunnel is normal during pregnancy...generally goes away once you have the baby.  I am the odd one and have something called Ulnar Tunnel...basically the outside (ring and pinky fingers) of my hand rather than the inside fingers.  Stretch your hands at the wrist backwards as far as you can and then forward.  there are also stretches you can do w/ your hands behind your back that will help the nerves to stretch and ease the pain and tingling.  GL!

  • if you work at a computer a lot, make sure you have proper wrist support too. the tingling gets really annoying!
