Cloth Diapering

another wipes warmer question

I have the prince lionheart warmies warmer on my registry, which is supposed to be specifically designed for cloth wipes.  It doesn't have the pop up thingy though.  Is it better just to use the regular warmer?  I thought maybe the warmies one was bigger and would be better for cloth, but am now not sure.  Any thoughts?

Re: another wipes warmer question

  • I think any wipes warmer will do, if you find it a necessity.

As for the pop-up thing, for cloth wipes it's really too much of a hassle to fold them all together to pop up anyway, so you'll probably just end up folding them in half or rolling them up and putting them in there.

As for size, you should only be keeping a day or two worth of wipes in there at a time to avoid harvesting bacteria, so the size isn't too big of a deal =)

  • I have a Munchkin wipes warmer that's made for regular wipes.  I love it.  I fold my wipes to pop up, which only takes a minute and is well worth it for me in terms of convenience when changing a diaper.

  • I have the Prince Lionheart one that doesn't have the pop up thing.  (I think it is made specifically for cloth wipes.)  I just fold the cloth wipes in half and place in the warmer.  I change the water every day, so I only put enough wipes in there for a day.  I don't really see how it would be easier to have the pop up thing for cloth wipes as I only typically need 1 wipe per change.
