How much water?!

I haven't been to the dr. except for beta draws...how much water has everyone's dr.'s reccommended?  I've been making sure to drink two (or almost two) Nalgene 32 ounce bottles while at work and then drinking water in the evenings.  Do you ladies think this is enough...my bladder says yes, but I'm curious for your opinions.

 Thanks in advance!

Re: How much water?!

  • I consider it a success if I get through a whole Nalgene bottle.  2 is great!

  • I am constantly thirsty and have been drinking around 80 ounces a day. I read that in the first trimester you should have 8-10 eight ounce glasses of water per day.

  • As a general rule, you're supposed to drink half of your body weight in ounces. For example, if you weigh 140 lbs, you should drink 70 ounces of water per day, or about 8.5 glasses.

  • I've been drinking anywhere from 80-100 ounces a day, but my number one symptom is thirst. I'll be curious to see what my dr recommends.

This (kind of). My massage therapist says we should really all be drinking our body weight (pounds) in ounces of water. But since that is very difficult, she recommends starting with shooting for half your body weight as a goal, and then upping it as you can.

Granted, this is not while pregnant, but just a general rule. But it seems like a good guide...

  • I've been trying to go by 8 eight ounce glasses a day. I'll usually drink 2 bottles of water at work, which covers half of it. And then the rest of it obviously at home. And I make sure to bring water with me everywhere I go. I'm definitely getting tired of water.

  • I've been drinking 70 - 100 oz a day, but I'm also almost always super thirsty, so I feel like I can't get enough water!
