Toddler bed?

For those who have done this I'm curious...

When did you move your LO's to toddler bed(s) and how long did you use them before moving to a larger bed?

Just moved them today... I think we'll get a year or so out of these.  Sorry my ticker and picture are old... my boys are 2 and 1/2.

We moved our girls to toddler beds in February I think (they were a little over 2) and I'll likely use them until they get too big for them or start to complain.  However, I am only using toddler beds because their cribs converted without any additional parts/$.  If they didn't, I would have likely just skipped the toddler bed and gone straight to twin beds.

I don't have my twins yet, but we switched DS1 when he was 18months old.  He loves it and we'll probably keep this bed until he grows too long for it.

For my older DS. We moved him at 18 months he hated the crib. He just switched to a twin this weekend he will be 3 this Dec. We only got him out of toddler bed cause he is a crazy all over bed sleeper and kept kicking the wall and waking himself and us up he just needed more room.

Moved DD to toddler bed at about 2 years 2 months after she jumped out of her crib for the first time. Moved her to a twin bed around 3 years 2 months - she was too tall for toddler bed and needed a new bed and room anyways since the twins are on their way.
