Depends on where the class is. At a place like Little Gym, most of the kids around here just wear daytime clothes - stretchy pants and whatever top, nothing special. If you take the class through an actual gymnastics place, the kids all wear leotards.

Target has a couple of styles of the one-piece with shorts gymnastics outfit. It is with the leotards.

N just started last week thru our park dept....they just wear cotton shorts/tank or t-shirt.

My cousin's daughter wears the classic leotard (she's 3 also) - but she goes to a gym (feeder class for teams). A friend's daughter competes (she's 6) and she wears the leotard with the short-type bottom like mentioned above.

I'd call and ask.

You'll see just about eveything. DD wears just shorts and a close fitting t-shirt right now, since I haven't found a gym unitard/leotard in her size. If she wants to continue, I will be getting her one. Probably something like this

This is the style that my girls wore when they did gymnastics at the gym place (feeder into teams) in the preschool program last winter.

Thanks everyone. I did call and ask. They do wear leotards or "Biketards" so I guess we will be going out tonight to find something. Not sure her little pink ballet leotard should pull double duty. And what's the fun of that anyway? lol
