I've been trying to increase my stash, especially for nighttime. I currently have an option to buy 5 EUC BG4.0's (snaps) on ebay, but I don't care for all of the colors offered, and with shipping the savings aren't really that great.
But after following someone's link to see the new CB prints, I found out that I can buy factory seconds directly from them!
Has anyone here tried the factory seconds from CB? From the reviews listed on their site, it sounds like the "defects" are really minor, so the savings might be worth it. Have you found this to be the case?
Also, the seconds in the one-size pockets are only available in Aplix. How big of a problem is it, really, to use Aplix on toddlers? I've heard people mention that snaps are better because toddlers aren't as likely to take the diaper off, but I'm a FTM, so I don't really know if that is as big an issue as I'm worrying it will be.
Re: Anyone buy the CB Seconds?
This. My toddler waited until her second birthday to figure out the aplix diapers. With that said, she also figured out how to unsnap. I have to make sure she's wearing a onesie or really tight fitting pants before naps and bed. The snaps wear much better though, so I'd really only invest in snaps if you have a choice.
80% stash is BG seconds and I can?t find anything wrong with them. I?ve gotten several GB pre loved from Spots Corner with great success but I only purchase the diaper if I can see the quality of them in pictures. E-bay wants an arm and a leg and I refuse to pay over $7 for a pre-loved diaper that my come with problems. I?ve never purchased a pre-loved or well-loved diaper from Cottonbabies b/c your at the mercy of the company and the diapers my need repaired.
Wow! Thanks so much for the replies, everyone! I just bought 6 of the seconds (3 in noodle, 3 in sweet), reserved one Albert AIO (my first AIO). These things, along with a few other miscellaneous items, qualified me for a free pair of babylegs, too!
I can't wait to get them! Thanks again for your advice!
We'll miss you sweet Debbie Girl (4.21.12) and sweet Cindy Girl (8.9.12)
The defects are always minor. One small thing to be aware of is that the seconds are not covered by the usual warranty.
Aplix on toddlers = depends on the toddler. DS's diaper-removal stage lasted all of about three days, and then he was over it. And he can remove snapping diapers now, too (but still chooses not to, most of the time). Diaper removal doesn't really play into my decision on whether to use snaps or aplix.
I'm glad I have a bunch of aplix diapers because right now, I swear, he is between snap settings in every single snapping diaper I own. I can't get a good fit and it's driving me nuts. No problems with the aplix diapers.
