You Rule The Most.....

We have had my friends 10 month old for 3 days and holy hell she is exhausting, she is super super well behaved just always on the go.  And I have a pinched nerve, guess I gotta get to the chiro b/c picking her up is hurting... But my husband has been so good with her, playing with her all day, explaining football with her, he even changed a diaper! The whole time he changed her he was saying " Stop squirming I am not good at playing diaper" in this lil cooing voice. He will make a super lots good dad!

I know what you mean!  Every year we take my sisters kids for a week or so, this year we took them all one at a time (8 yrs, 7 yrs, and 4 yrs.)  because last year was a disaster - I don't know how you parents do it!  

Every year when we take them home we always have the "maybe we don't need any kids" talk... that never lasts long

I know right!!! She is not even fussy either and she basically entertains herself, but I stay up late so getting up at 7 am and following her around is so exhausting.

Heh, parents can do it because there is no other choice! You are the parent, you take care of every need. But other people's kids are always more exhausting than your own kids, if that is any comfort. And there is so much joy and wonder to offset the never-ending work.

10 month old on the go doesn't hold a candle to 3  1/2 year old on the go!  Whew!  What a summer to get pregnant and have DD stop napping!  It's all worth it, but yeah, you get a different perspective of what busy means.  You move and do things all day long, and at the end of the day the house is a wreck and you've gotten nothing done.  Except helping LO have a fun, enriching day.  Or, on some days just holding on to sanity with your fingernails until the earliest possible moment when you can in good conscience put your child in bed (That would have been 6:58pm yesterday!)
