And I hate them. I was babysitting a 1 year old (since this post is about him, I'm posting on here even though my own son is 2 now- sniff sniff). I ended up opening the tabs and putting it on like a normal diaper after a while. He had an awful diaper rash and I had to put cream on him. I don't think there was any way I could slip a diaper on him without making a mess and rubbing off the cream. Does anyone here like them? I'm curious why Huggies thought it was a good idea. Diapers have been made to open up for how many generations? It's kind of like, "if it's not broke, don't fix it." But maybe for some babies it's a lifesaver.
Re: Had my first experience with the Huggies slip on diapers
I was thinking about getting them bc my daughter fights laying down for most diaper changes. But we still had 2 big cases of luvs left and if pt-ing works this week it won't matter anyway.
I am using them on my toddler as pull-ups. He is TINY, almost 3, and in size 3 of the Slip Ons. I only bought them because I got a giant pack at Target for cheap by combining coupons. We usually use 7th generation from Amazon Mom . Anyway...
I actually like them. We don't have a problem with the rash cream coming off, just pull out as you pull up and it stays in place fine.
I also don't really see how they are a "need" but I know a few people who had issues finding pullups for their very small toddlers (my best friend has an almost 3 year old who has yet to break 20 lbs, she is just a tiny peanut) and this is really a good thing for her.
You must not have a child who struggles through every diaper change. I've thought about buying them. Slipping on a diaper like shorts would be so much easier than trying to wrestle DD into a new diaper and close the tabs before she gets away. We use Pampers, and I like the way they fit DD, so I'm reluctant to give Huggies a try. Plus I have a feeling they're more expensive, and I'm cheap that way.

I think getting them on would be great, but I wouldn't want to slip off a poopy diaper. I didn't know until I read this thread that they have tabs. So I guess you can take these diapers off like regular diapers?
DS also fights changes like a maniac. Ruckus!
I bought them because I have a coupon - I hate them. My H asked why I bought them?
My sone also fights diaper changes but we still use a changing table and the slip ones are a hassle.
Someone can have mine.
The pull-ups are supposed to be cold so that LO can feel the difference.
My daycare requires the 2 year old class to be in pull-ups, so we will move to pull ups or perhaps the diaper ones due to LO size (just hit 20 lbs) but I am hesitant on the diaper ones due to the absorbing factor and it being harder for LO to know when he is wet. We will see; hopefully we will hit a growth spurt. My DS1 was a similar size and I don''t require issues with the sizes of pull-ups.

The only thing I found with pull-ups where more rashed because they don't wick the moisture away like diapers do.
I like the idea of the pull up diapers though. Especially if you are out & about & can't get to a changing table. Once I had to change DD's diaper in a department store behind a clothes rack while she stood up. One of those pull up ones would of worked great & she wouldn't be susceptible to rashes. She's potty trained now but still wears a diaper to bed at night.
