can you suggest some postpg ab exercises

I'm unable to do even 1 situp.  Can't lift my body off the ground even 1 cm.  I suppose I probably have some muscle diastasis, plus I had a c-section.

 

what exercises can I do? I heard crunches and stuff are out of the question.  Can you describe the exercise in detail to me?

  • I saw a physical therapist who specializes in postpartum recovery, which I recommend. Just go in once or twice even to get a recommended exercise routine. The first strengthening exercise he gave me was to lie on my back, do a kegel and hold it, tense the ab muscles right above there, then to try to pull my belly button in and up. I would hold briefly then do it again, and do reps of this after every baby feeding (or as often as possible).

  • Look up the Tupler technique if you have any ab seperation....I did breathing exercises that really helped get my core back on track.  I also run every other day which is good for your abs too!
