Someone noticed

I am definitely getting thick around the middle but didn't think it was obvious to everyone that I am pregnant.  I went to a meeting of a group I am in and I hadn't seen anyone since July and one woman asked me when the happy day would be.  I stared for a while and smiled and asked her if that is what she is asking me.  She said yeah and I said I hadn't told anyone yet so we weren't announcing for a little longer - she responded with "well, it's rather obvious, isn't it?  I thought everyone [in the group] knew already so that's why they weren't talking about it anymore." 

It was kinda fun to tell but not sure how I feel about her assessment with how obvious it is!  We told my parents, my MIL & FIL & SIL and that's it so far so I at least like to think I am doing a decent job of keeping it under wraps.  We're telling friends next weekend so it isn't a big deal but I was just surprised!

A male coworker asked me a few weeks ago if everything was alright.  He said "I can't put my finger on it, but you seem different somehow".  I told him I was very  tired b/c we weren't announcing yet.

I know how you feel. I actually had a parent of one of my student's congratulate me when I was only 11 weeks along. I was in shock at how they just assumed. Some people guess because of the "pregnancy glow" which I still cannot figure out what the heck that is. If you're like me, you're feeling like you're getting "fatter" rather than looking pregnant.

This happened at school on Thursday. I'm already telling people but I just walked by and she looks me up and down and goes "are you?" I said yes. She was happy condensed version.

Well, it won't really matter - we only know people together from this group [it is kinda hard to explain] so if she tells anyone, it'd just be then and I don't really care (if anything happens between now and my next meeting, I'll email her so she doesn't say anything).

My teenage SIL looked at me last night and said very bluntly, "You look pregnant." I'm only 11 weeks! I guess I used to have a flatter stomach, and now by the end of the day, I do definitely look pregnant. I'm not telling my school until next week, so I'm hoping that other teachers don't have the same thought as SIL.
