My first time using an OPK I had positive OPK results for over a week, one of which was a week before AF came. Has anyone had weird results like this?

I'm thinking either the test isn't accurate, or I tested at the wrong time of day (morning)....

I believe OPKs are supposed to be taken in the afternoon.  Double check the instructions on/in the box.

Is the test line darker than the control line? OPKs will always have 2 lines, and that doesn't mean it's positive.

Not necessarily.  It depends on the brand which is why you should read the directions, OP.  Was the second line darker or the same shade as the control line?

Good to know. The only brand I've ever read the directions to said test in the afternoon.
