GMD or Cotton Babies prefolds?

Hey ladies!  I'm a mostly lurker, occasional poster, and soon-to-be CDing mama.  DH and I are planning to use a combination of prefolds and fitteds for the newborn stage, and I was just wondering which prefolds you would recommend?  

I had been planning to buy the Cotton Babies unbleached prefolds (since they are cheaper and get pretty good reviews), but then was reading some reviews that said they shrink so much you can't use a Snappi.  Now, my heart isn't set on using a Snappi, but I would like the option should the need arise.  

Has anyone had this too-small-for-Snappi issue with the Cotton Babies prefolds, or the GMD prefolds?  Would you recommend one over the other for any other reasons?  Or am I just totally overthinking this?

I'd go with GMDs, properly sized so you can Snappi. You'll def want to snappi when LO gets bigger.

Neither. I used DiaperRite PFs from Diaper Junction. They worked just as well as our GMDs, and were cheaper. We never used a snappi, though, so that wouldn't have been a deciding factor for us.

Hi, I usually only lurk over here, but wanted to give my .02!

We use CB PFs and the only time we have had a problem using the snappi was when DD had outgrown the size. I love our PFs, but that is the only kind we have used so I can't compare them against the GMDs. HTH!

I used bummis PFs when LO was a newborn and just recently bought some GMDs. I much prefer the GMDs and will get those for the next baby.

Thanks ladies!  I'm glad to hear you can still use the Snappi with the CB prefolds.  Maybe I'll just go crazy and get two dozen of each.    Thanks for your input!

Green Mountain Diapers.  I used the GMD as well.

FWIW I bought the CB prefolds (unbleached) and I wish I'd have gotten the GMD...the CBs don't seem to be very well made which is fine for NB stage but after that when I want them to last a little longer I just have a feeling the stitiching isn't going to hold up well.

I haven't used Cotton Babies, but have to say I love my GMD prefolds. No complaints about them here. They work well and have held up nicely to my girls. We're just moving up to the brown size and the yellow and red prefolds we've used easily have another child of use in them.
