? for those with a doppler....

I realized I have no more gel left that came with my doppler.  Is there something else I can use or do I have to go and buy more u/s gel?  Probably should have researched this before purchasing the thing, but didn't even think about it...

    I have regular Aloe.  It's green.  Does the trick.

    you can use a lot of different things, i use a generic ky jelly.  it comes in this big ass tube, like the size of toothpaste.

    Thanks for the replies ladies!  I have some Johnson's Baby Oil gel (it's got aloe vera in it) that's pretty thick like the gel I have been using.  Do you think that would be ok to try?  I don't have regular aloe vera.

    I don't know if I would use the Baby Oil gel - the oil may have some kind of effect on it.

    I got a giant replacement thing of u/s gel on Amazon for super cheap (like a few bucks). HTH!

    any gel that's water based is fine.  Don't use anything that has an oil base because it start to break down the plastic and will eventually ruin your doppler.  I got a really cheap bottle of u/s gel on amazon.  Join the mommy club and you get free prim shipping too.  

    They told me you could use any fruit jelly because it's water based too although i'm afraid unless you took a shower right after your belly would still be sticky.  Aloe would probably be fine too.  But don't use baby oil.

    In the hospital I worked in they used lotion, worked just fine.
