Pregnant after IF

Lunch ?

What do you ladies bring to work for lunches?   I know lunch meats are a no no unless you heat them up to a steam.  Usually I bring Weight Watcher Smart Ones to work and heat them up but now I am worried about the preservatives that are in them.  Do you know if Smart Ones are safe?  What are some other options you ladies do?  I could do salads but then should I only use real dressing and not lite.  Sorry for all the questions.  I am just nervous that I am going to eat the wrong thing.

Re: Lunch ?

  • I eat lunch meat at least once a week. :) lately I have been baking chicken in the oven (the night before of course) and having that over white or brown rice. I add a tiny bit of a teriyaki type sauce/marinade from Costco. I didn't have any stir fry veggies this week so I had it with salad. It's delicious and healthy and fills me up. You could also make grilled chicken or steak wraps. If I eat out I get a salad from chipotle (holy heartburn bit so worth it) or soup and salad from chilis to go. I keep lean cousins in the freezer at work too but I don't really like to eat them too often maybe once a week!

  • I make DHs lunch and I put a salad together in a Tupperware and precook some tysons chicken (he likes buffalo style or honey barbq), wrap it in tin foil and put it in the lunch box along with some dressing and hard boiled eggs. He chops up the eggs and chicken and puts it in his salad. I usually give him baked chips and a fruit cup with a sweet treat. If he's tired of salad I put that same chicken in there and swap the salad for a pita with some lettuce an dressing.

That sounds so yummy! Is it the frozen tyson chicken?  My husband would love a buffalo chicken salad.

  • I eat lunch meat about once week too. I get a deli sandwich. For the other days, I cook a lot so we always have leftovers. We eat a lot of chicken, rice, veggies, or I'll make spaghetti or some type of pasta. I always make a small green slad to eat on the side of every meal that consists of spring mix salad, tomatoes, and cheese with a splash of vinigarette. I keep a few smart ones at work too in case I didnt bring leftovers.
