So now the questions begin, I already scheduled an appointment with my doctor this upcoming wednesday just to make sure everything is what the test says it is. The only known symptoms that I have had was tender breasts that I either am getting used to or just got less tender and 6 days ago when my period was supposed to start it was just a spotty light day and it ended, so light that a tampon was barely needed. So I went on to reading if my husband and I got lucky after only 4 months of trying (went off birth control) and it said a light day could mean implantation, so I waited till yesterday to take the test but I still feel like I don't want to get my hopes up just yet. I want to buy another test to check before going to the doctor but a part of me just wants to be like Niki be patient you will know for sure on Wednesday. Has anyone else had doubts about their tests because you didn't have many symptoms to support it? According to the due date calculator it says im due in May

So im 5 weeks now according to that, im excited but I hope my test was right and I wont be disappointed, my husband doesn't really want to celebrate yet either until everything is 100% confirmed with the doctor but it is still exciting to know the first hurdle could be jumped

Re: Took a Pregnancy test yesterday and its Positive! =)
I took 4 tests, but the way they work is that if the HGC hormone is there, you're pregnant. so congratulations!
I also went to the dr to get a blood test confirmation, it only took a day to get back, so hopefully you won't have to wait too long.

That is what I keep reading and I am not taking any medications that could mess up the test so im excited!
If it takes 24 hours, then those will be the longest 24 hours of my life! Then again the Doctor should get a pee test result during visit I would suspect so that should help keep the anxiety down a bit.
Now the next issue I have is I work 11 hours on my feet all day long in a grocery store customer service counter and I want to keep things near by like snack bars and water, but they do not allow food at the counter and may not be so understanding to let me leave multiple times a day to eat without explanation, but we don't plan on telling even our family members yet until close to the end of the first trimester or whenever we can no longer keep it a secret so I cannot tell work yet, then again nothing is worth the babys nutrition nor mine. They already think I am crazy for having to pee ever hour lol
I'd say tell the most important boss at work, and make sure he/she knows it's a secret. You need to take care of that baby and yourself! keep a stool or something? But just in case someone complains, you know you won't lose your job over it.
p.s. it's also a medical condition, you legally can't get fired for being pregnant.

I definitely decided to try an calm down and just accept the fact that I am pregnant, but i still always worry I might not be but knowing I am not the only one that feels that way does give me some piece of mind to relax and just wait till Wednesday for the first Dr. visit.
Any ladies here who have had a first child drive any manual cars? I drive a manual mazdaspeed3 (hence my SN being ladyspeed3
) and I am wondering how I will do or what to expect when I get bigger with a manual car. There is no way I am trading my car but the thought it might be difficult or unsafe a little worrisome.
Thank you again Ladies for the words of comfort, advice and wisdom, I am so happy this site is around! It is nice to be able to reach out to other women and someone other then my husband for advice and to talk to until we tell our family and friends.
