Update to the snack post that some of you thought I was crazy about last week.

I sent a shortened email, and it was well received.  Clearly some other parent went over the teachers' heads, though, because today we all got a short email from DD's teacher saying that the community snack sharing violated the school's food policy and would therefor be discontinued.  Parents can either send a snack in daily in the lunchbox, or send in a large box of whatever which would be stored and labeled with the child's name and doled out daily only to that child. Seems to me that setting out 24 individual snacks isn't the best use of a teacher's time, so I'll be sending daily, but at least my concerns won't be concerns anymore.

  • Sounds like it was the best way to go anyway.  Glad it worked out for you.
  • glad it all worked out.  Personally I rather send Michelle her own snack because she's so darn picky.
