When did you feel comfortable shaving over your scar?  I've trimmed all around it but I'm scared to death to shave the hair that is the closest to it because I'll have to run the razor right over it to do that.  Mine is still tender when pressed on.

I'm terrified to shave. My scar doesn't hurt, I think it's just very intimidating. I was going to wait until my 6 week appointment to ask my OB. I'm sure she is going to laugh at me when she finds out I haven't done it sooner.

I probably started shaving after a couple weeks but it gave me the hebe gebes (sp) for a couple months. It felt weird to have the razor cross the incision...not painful just weird.

My simple answer would be, do it when you are comfortable doing it, no sooner. And wait until it has actually healed.

 

My hair around my scar has all fallen out. Am I the only one this has happened to?

I could not handle the itching...It was about 2 weeks.

I waited till my steri strips fell off. So it was about around the 3-4 week mark.
