So the lunch box we got dd doesn't hold much. It is a hello kitty one from target. It can't fit the practical containers with the dividers. What Are you using for a lunch box and containers and ice pack?

It's pricey, but well worth it, imo. We got plain purple, so she won't outgrow a character or print. Also purchased an extra set of bento containers so I don't need to wash them every night.
I use the reusable ziploc containers - they make really small ones and her ice pack is small - shaped like a lady bug. I got it at the dollar store. Also, if you freeze a juice box it acts as an ice pack and defrosts in time for lunch. I love the fruitables ones since they are part veggie juice.

We have a hello kitty soft-sided lunchbox that we're using again from last year (it was a gift, but probably from target). We use the Glad mini round containers plus some small ancient tupperware type containers. Sometimes it's a tight fit, but that's usually because of the cup. We were using a regular sippy, but it took so much room. I got a reusable juice box from rubbermaid and it fits much better in her lunchbox. We also use the squishy ice packs, not the hard sided ones, because they are skinnier and fit better.

Mine are actually from the dollar bins, we have princess ones and fire truck ones, but I haven't seen them recently. I think there's more in the back with the adult lunch boxes/edge of camping stuff or with the car travel accessories that are plain like this. Grocery stores often have them too.
I have some that look like sheets of little blue ice cubes with the gel divided up so it's a mat. It looks like a great idea, but it defrosts a LOT faster than a similar size regular ice pack.
