To hump or not to hump...

I got a + OPK so DH and I will be going in for IUI tomorrow. We were told to try to have sex every few days so the sperm we use are not older ones that have been sitting around for a while. We were so busy the past 2 nights were were not able to find time for sex. My question is, should we have sex this evening so tomorrows sprem is the new stuff or should we wait so his count is higher? I am wondering if 12 hours is enough time to produce a good sample tomorrow.  I should probably mention that there is no problem with his sprem count.

    If you're doing an IUI tomorrow I would not have sex tonight. Did your RE mention what to do in this situation?

    I'm pretty sure I was told to abstain for a couple days prior to my IUI but I might be wrong.

    They just told us to have sex every few days and that was the plan... it just didn't quite work out for a + test today and I got the + too late in the day for the doctor to call me back tonight.
