I know that they say that you typically see a rise in BBT a day after ovulation, and that sometimes 2 days after is not unusual. But has anyone heard/read how soon BBT can rise after ovulation? So if the egg is released and stay around for 24 hours, could BBT potentially rise, say, 12 hours after the egg is released...and therefore you may have a temperature rise while the egg is still around for a bit?
I am wondering because this month FF shows my ovulation on CD12...but on CD13, the day of a rise in BBT, I had lots of EWCM. So do I trust the BBT rise or the EWCM?....or maybe I had a rise in BBT but the egg is still around?
I don't have EWCM a lot, so I can't really look back at old charts for a pattern.
What do you all think?

This is somewhat like my current situation. We have been using the clearblue easy fertility monitor and I am currently on CD23...my monitor gave me peak days on CD 16 and 17...I enter about 3 temps into FF and it had my O date as CD 16 I was happy cause we did the BD and I was nervous about using the monitor the first month...but now I have entered the most recent temps...up to this morning and it says my O date was CD 18.
What do you guys think....we did the BD on CD 18 as well but I am just curious so I can decide when to test I am trying to hold out as long as possible
(DH is hoping for a boy
