Is it just me?

Today I read on the news about an un-named 20-something year old man, who was arrested for smoking pot in one of our local casinos. He tried to evade arrest by jumping into the river, which then turned into a "rescue mission" because it is very dangerous to be in the Missouri River. Anyway, is it weird that my first thought was..."I wonder if it was EX?" It is just something I can picture him doing, and he's been on a "good streak" for a couple months so I'm just waiting for him to eff up, as he always does.

I used to check the legal section of the newspaper and scan for his name under convictions.  Oh and sometimes I'd check the obituaries.
