I didn't know there was a warning not to sterilize the bottles. Oooops! I did destroy 2 of them but it was because I didn't take them out after turning the stove off. We didn't have a dishwasher, so that was my only option.

The liners should be sterile already. The bottle itself gets REALLY deformed if you boil it....
Ditto all this, except I did sterilize the nipples before I used them the first time. I ruined two of the bottle shells because I boiled them and they got deformed, then the cap wouldn't screw on. Ooops...should've read the directions first!
Boiled the nipples, caps, and rings the first time and then soapy, hot water after that.
Check the kind of nipple you are using - the latex should only be boiled the first time. I think the silicone can be boiled after the first time, but I don't use them so not totally sure.

nipple and ring
there's a warning on the bottle to not sterilize it. I think they melt. You can throw them on the top rack in the dishwasher, though.

This! Soap and hot water
this. I also sterilized the nipples before using them for the first time.
I never sterilize - just soap and water.
