How much do you pay for music lessons?

We pay $116 a month for ML's piano lessons.  That doesn't sound outrageous, but it's over twice what we pay for ballet lessons, and ballet is an hour long, piano is 30 minutes (each one a week).

Then, the instructor went on vacation all of July and all but one week of August and we still had to pay for those two months, plus full tuition for any month with holidays (and she's gone again for 3 weeks in the winter).  She says it's based on an annual fee, and there are to be exactly 35 lessons per year. However, if *we* miss a day due to illness or vacation, there is no make up.

I calculate that to be over $70 per hour if we miss no lessons. Is that reasonable?  She is Suzuki trained, but I'm beginning to think there isn't much to this "method" other than making sure your kid listens to the accompanying CD all the time.
