For the last week or so, my nipples look totally weird.  I know they're supposed to darken, but Im also noticing little white patches.  Has anyone else experienced this? Should I worry?  Thanks in advance!

The white/light yellow spots might be dried milk secretions.

I've noticed this around the nipple itself but chalked it up to my ever-changing body due to pregnancy!  Ask your doctor about it but I wouldn't worry too much.

Mine have gotten HUGE but I haven't noticed any color changes at all.

Hi lurking from April 2012, I have had the spots on my nipples for the last several weeks.  I was just assuming it had something to do with the milk ducts getting ready.

This part grosses me out.  Not like, breastfeeding and all that goes with it is a bad thing.  I think it?s great, but I wish I could get away without knowing the mechanics.  I?ll do what I need to do to keep my family happy and healthy, but that doesn?t mean I?m going to like it?

I think they might be "Montgomery glands" or tubules or something. Per my pregnancy journal, they are sebaceous glands that help lubricate your nipples and keep them "supple" during breastfeeding. Lol!
