DD has managed to push every button I have today. She had me up half the night last night, FI worked nightshift and is now at school, so I haven't had his help either. I am seriously ready to blow. It is definitely time DD takes a nap so I put her in her crib, I even gave her a cup of milk to make it easier. She has been up there screaming and crying for about 10min now, which she NEVER does. I really need a break and she really needs a nap. Do I just let her go until she finally tires herself out? I went in, gave her tylenol thinking maybe her teeth were bugging her, I even checked her diaper.
Please help
I hate hearing her up there crying.
Re: I am at the end of the line today. How long should I leave her in crib?
Bar tab = $156,000, Bus to Foxwoods = $0, Puking in the Stanley Cup = Priceless
We've done this on occasion. I can definitely tell his "way over-tired" cry from any other cry. He actually did it today, after not sleeping well last night. It look about 20 minutes before he fell asleep for his nap. He'll be up in about an hour and in a GREAT mood!
I'm assuming nothing is wrong. She just had lunch, I gave her milk in her crib, I gave her tylenol just in case since she never acts like this. I mean usually after at least 5minutes she goes to sleep. She has been crying for 20min! I feel terrible. She keeps laying her head on the side of the crib so I know she is tired! I even put fresh sheets on her bed for god sakes!
Just let her go, she'll be fine. You checked everything...maybe go take a bath or stand in a nice hot shower and take a deeeeeeeep breath. Good luck!
DD had a really rough day today too. Maybe it's the weather? (It's pouring for like the third day in a row here.)
On our third try for a nap she screamed for about 10 minutes and then whimpered for another 10. As she started escalating again I just went in and rocked with her until she passed out. I couldn't leave her crying any longer and knew she wouldn't just give it up on her own, anyway.
