Hi Ladies: The babies start playschool tomorrow and I really need ideas for lunches. They?ve requested that it not have to be refrigerated or be warmed. I do have freezer packs if needed. I was originally thinking homemade lunchables (fresh deli turkey, cheese sticks, wheat crackers and fruit) but that?s all I?ve got.
TIA
Re: Playschool Lunches... Please give me ideas! Pretty please
i know there's a bit of a difference between 1 year olds and 3 year olds, but you probably have more options than me. (my boys weren't picky at 1, but they're EXTREMELY picky now.) but here's what i pack for them (with an ice pack in an insulated bag)
- crackers
- cereal
- grapes
- applesauce (in a separate small container)
- yogurt (ditto to above)
- turkey pepperoni
- string cheese
- pasta (bowties, wagon wheels, other "fun" shapes)
- pretzels
- baby carrots
- edamame
- rice
- cheese cubes
- mini rice cakes
- deli meat
- mini bagels
i should note that my kids don't eat some of those things, but i put them in anyway, hoping maybe they will try them.

THANKS Peakay!
I pack a lunch every Friday for the boys to take to their Parents Day Out program. Here are some options that I will give them. Everything has to be what they can feed themselves.....
PB&J, Applesauce squeezers, cheese sticks, Cliff Kids Bars (more protein than a granola bar), grapes (quartered), blueberries, melon, whole wheat crackers, turkey hot dog (quartered), cinnamon raisin bagel thin, turkey or ham cubes.
