LO neck rash??

I am not sure what this is I just noticed it. It is a little red and dry looking under her neck. I washed it and put lotion on it but it is still there and kinda has a smell to it...should i call doc? No other symptoms of anything odd either...

It's probably from drool and spit up. just wash it and put some destin on it...

I think it's like diaper rash (from moisture) but under their chubby faces! hahah

Sounds like a yeast infection. It's very common on babies in that area. Be extra careful to wash in the folds and always pat dry that area and it should clear up on its own.

My huge cheek boy gets this if I don't dig out the milk cheese constantly.

we call it milk neck. A little stinky until bath time. Wash well, pat dry and we put a little aquaphor on it if it seems red and dry.

DD gets this all the time. I've found that if I clean it, then put some baby powder under there, it clears it right up. And a major thanks to whomever recommended that a while ago!

We use hydrocortisone cream on the rash and it clears up within a few hours.  Aquaphor is good to use once clear because it keeps the moisture off (and it doesn't have the odor that A&D has).

My ped recommends corn starch. Just dip your finger in it, and wipe it on the neck in the folds and it clears right up!
