Carter's clothing sizes

I have no idea what these sizes are!! When it says just "3" does that mean it fits starting at 3 months? When I hold it up to something 3-6 months it looks smaller. I'm sleep deprived and am having trouble organizing Jaxon's clothes.

Generally when it says 3 month it is 0-3. But carters run a little bigger IMO. My DD can still wear 9 month Carters

Its 0-3, for some reason Carters started doing this a few years ago. If you read the tag it says the same height weight limit that 0-3 does.  I agree that Carters can run a bit bigger depending.

I think I am the only one who finds Carter's to fit small. DD is pretty tall (95% height and 50% weight). The pants will fit her fine and she fits the age appropriate size. Tops, I always have to buy her a size larger. I find the whole sizing thing when it just says "3" pretty confusing too. Some stores it's the opposite and it means 3-6 months.

In general, 0-3 months is closer to 3 months, 3-6 months is closer to 6 months, etc.

I worked at Carter's through my undergrad and 3 month= 0-3  6 month=3-6, etc.

I'm happy I found your question!! I was having the same problem organizing my LO's clothes. I tought it meant 3-6 but they looked smaller. I think we have more 0-3 than I thought, now I really know what we still need.

Ditto others... I put all his 9 month carters with the 6-9 month clothes.
