Taking Certain Medications

I have been taking Effexor XR 75mg for 4 years.  I am about 7 weeks pregnant and I was wondering if anyone was on it while you were pregnant and what did you do?  I have seen that people stayed on it and were fine, I have also seen people stopped taking it??

I know there have not been enough conclusive studies, so most doctors approach continuing on a case-by-case basis. Lexapro might be a comparable option, but I would call your doctor as soon as possible. However, I would not recommend stopping Effexor cold turkey. Hope that helps!

I took wellbutrin for years and they took me off as soon as I was pregnant.  I have been off all antidepressants for 7 months now and have been fine.  I get the worst in the winter so hopefully I can take something after the baby is born which is safe for breast feeding.

Not sure if its the hormones or what but my mood has been good the entire time.  My husband says its the nicest I have ever been.

I was just worried with taking any antidepressant when pregnant.
