Conversions of IU to ml

I am beginning a new cycle tonight. I have to take 150 IU of Menopur. My pharmacy sent me ml syringes. Finding it difficult to find out how much I need to use.

Thanks

Re: Conversions of IU to ml

  • The Menopur is the powder, and each vial is 75 IU, so you need 2 vials.  You take 1ml of the saline solution and mix that with the first vial.  Put the additional saline solution aside immediately, so you don't use it on the next vial (like I did the first time).  Take that mixture back into the syringe and then put it into the other bottle of powder and mix it.  You then take that combined mixture back into the syringe and that is what you will inject.

It take a little getting used to, but in another day or two, you'll be a pro!

  • Go here and click on the Menopur video.  PP is right though--2 vials of the powder tablet and 1 cc of the saline solution to dilute them.

  • Thanks! I've done this a number of times trying to conceive my first. I'm so out of practice.
