So constipated it hurts (vent)

I have not pooped in about a week. I've taken stool softeners and milk of magnesia and still nothing. It hurts so bad I could cry.

 Anyone else?

I had this same problem a few weeks ago. I added the softners and started taking metamusal mixes and that helped. I'm not back to my normal self, but going and not in pain anymore. I hope you get it taken care of soon! I remember when I had that problem I didn't want to do anything or eat anything I was so misreble!

Have you tried fiber laxative like Fibercon or Metamucil? Also plenty of water.  Hope you find relief soon.

Water + Oatmeal + Colace (found over the counter) = Relief

I was constipated 2 weeks ago.I drank (choked down) about 3 glasses of prune juice and it totally openen the gates!  I think I over did it w/ 3 glasses but I was sure the 1st glass didn't work.  I have been normal ever since.  I saw on another post a lady was taking fiber gummy bears.  Sounded so much better than the prune juice.

Same here! It's been 2 weeks for me - I'm miserable!!
