How would you describe the feeling of the baby's first movements? I googled it but article descriptions are so generalized it doesn't really help. I felt something that for me I would describe as the way it feels when a nerve twitches it made me wonder if that's what the websites describe as "flutters"..
Re: For 2nd+ time moms or anyone who has experienced it so far....
I'd say bubbles popping or an involuntary twitch. Every once in awhile I'll feel the baby move a lot and it will feel like losing your stomach on a roller coaster ride (but less intense)
Yeah, me too. These are different, I guess it's hard to explain since I can't say they don't really feel like gas bubbles since I just said they did! I feel the baby move the most when I'm still and leaning forward.
At some point you'll just sort of realize that what is going on in your lower gut isn't just gas or cramps or whatever, it is very different and unique! For my first it was 16 weeks, but I've heard that some people don't feel/notice movement until 25 weeks.
I don't know why, but this description cracked me up.
I agree that it feels like bubbles popping at first.
This. Yesterday it felt like one or both of them was doing barrel rolls - it made me kind of nauseous. Sometimes its like a light scratching.
He he! Me too, it's cute.
This sounds a little too Rosemary's Baby for me.
I'm not sure, but I felt something yesterday. My hand was pressed up against where baby lives and I felt some movement in my hand, not in my body, but rumbles on my hand. I wasn't gassy and it was a little low for tummy grumbles. Could it have been a rolling baby?
