VBAC

I missed the memo

That there is a c-section board...This would have been great during my recovery but in order to get/stay in the right state of mind for my out of hospital vbac attempt I think I'll stay over here.

  • ditto...i just lurked over there and got anxious.....so no more csection board for me....i truely believe that staying positive about my body and what it is capable of will be what helps me get through this.....positive VBAC thoughts only.

  • I think it's brand new.  People were petitioning for it, because they said we were singularly focused on VBACs over here and people were feeling pressured to not schedule an RCS.  I didn't see what the big deal was, because this is definitely one of the most helpful boards.  I've never seen anyone get flamed for anything.

I agree, I'll be hanging out here - I know what happens during a c-section.

Just from the perspective of a lurker - I think this is a really friendly board, but I'm leaning toward scheduling an RCS and I don't feel comfortable talking about it here, not because I think I'd be judged but because I would not feel comfortable discouraging anyone who really needs the support this board provides for VBAC hopeful moms.  I have the support IRL to VBAC if I want to, but I know a lot of people don't.  I wanted a c/s board because I think this needs to be a safe place to talk about VBACs and if I have questions about an RCS (which I know I will) I would rather not detract from VBAC discussions here.  Plus there are a lot of first-time c/s moms who have questions about c-sections, and they might not know this board well enough to know it would be okay to ask here.

I actually also thought a c-section board was a good idea.  I had incision pain questions that didn't really fit anywhere.  So, I asked them on the 0-3 board.  I just thought it was funny that people were complaining about the VBAC board.  Though, my husband thinks I'm militant about it - so maybe they're right : - )
