since someone mentioned the binder/girdle

I thought I'd mention that after my c/s with DS I bought some c/s underwear and I loved them!!! We live off of several highways, all of which are very bumpy. The first time I wore those underwear was the first time I could drive or ride down those roads without pain. I know that not everyone may need them but they are something to think about afterwards. They function kinda like the binder/girdle but on a much smaller scale. I'm hoping to VBAC with my next but will be bring those with me to the hospital just in case.

I wore my binder for ALL day.  It took a lot of the pain away and I was able to move better, and I think it helped shrink my stomach, just a little

I never heard of c/s underwear. Sounds fabulous, though. I need to look that up. I tried wearing the hospital binder and it felt like it was scrunching my incision together. Once home, I tried the Abdomend c/s binder and really like it, but only when I'm walking or lying down. When sitting, it curls and I feel like it's bending right into my incision.

I found them at our local destination maternity. They weren't cheap but they weren't as expensive as I'm seeing online right now. They functioned kinda like the binder but without being as noticeable.

Those sound amazing. I wore my binder every single day for about 4 weeks - no joke. I was addicted to the binder.
