I have started researching cloth diapers. I hope to use them when the baby is about 3 months old...
I went to a store that had several types of diapers...and I am leaning towards the GroVia diapers. I really like the velco kind. From what I've seen the reviews are pretty good. The diapers are also one size fits all which I like.
Have any of you used them? What do you think of them? I would love some input! Thanks!
Re: GroVia cloth diapers...
I"m not a fan, but some people really like them.
One-sized won't fit until your LO is 10-12 lb.

I really like the AI2s, but ditto PP, they won't fit until 10 or 12 lbs. Also, it's hard to use them as true AI2s during the newborn phase because they poop so much and you have to switch out the cover each time since the inserts won;t catch it all. But now that DD has more solid poop, I love them.
Some of the cons I've heard are that the inserts stain very easily (but the stains come out in the sun) and they take a long time to dry. Neither of those are a big deal to me, but it is something to consider.
I'm assuming you're talking about the all-in-two (hybrid) type diapers from GroVia... I was not a fan and actually sold the one (1 cover + 3 inserts) we had because they never fit DS right. I don't know how anyone makes it work on a smaller baby honestly b/c the inserts were awkward on my son that we didn't start CDing until he was 13 months old (he's always been in the 50-75% for weight & height).
That being said, with this next baby I hope to check out their all-in-ones because I kind of like how they are set-up and they don't seem like they'd have the same bulk issue as their AI2s. I do have some GroVia newborns that seem great too!
I have both the AI2 and AIO grovia and love them both. We get a great fit on our daughter.
Pros: They are super trim, fit great under clothes and we've never had any leaks.
Cons: On the downside, the velcro is starting to wear out (after only about 5 months) so I'll be adding snaps to those soon. Also, yes, they take a while to dry, but that doesn't really bother me too much.
All that being said, I would hesitate to sink all of your money on one kind of diaper when building your stash. You never know what is going to end up working for you! The best advice I got when we were starting was to do a trial (jilliansdrawers.com does one that is great) so that you get to try a variety of different kinds of dipes and brands. HTH!
