Hey I saw this in the weekly post below:
SanHawaii08:
I do plan to read positive discipline and love and logic
If you read the Love and Logic book, will you let me know what you think? I was considering buying it, but many of the reviews made me do this face . Some of the authors' solutions seem a bit overly harsh...like if your child doesn't feed their dog, you suddenly get rid of the dog with no warning and tell the child, "Well, that's what happens!" Stuff like that just seemed a bit over the top to me - but I don't know if the reviewers were exaggerating, so I'm trying to figure out if I should still give it a shot!
Re: *** SanHawaii08 ***
will do! there's another book i'm planning to read too, that i forgot to mention - i think it's called something like "children, the challenge".
both that and love and logic were highly recommended to me by a friend of mine who has 12 and 14 yo daughters. she is my role-model parent - her daughters are amazing and she has a great relationship with them. i only hope my communication and my relationship with my kids is as good some day.
