My husband and I started trying this spring, and so far it's been a lot of fruitless waiting. I don't want to talk about it with family, so I'm hoping to find some support here!

Iris born Halloween 2013! 6 lbs, 1 oz, 18 inches long
I am 40 and 40 weeks 3 days preggie, and I'll be 41 in November! Although we have been trying since I was 35, we knew from the beginning we had male factor infertility due to the fact that my husband had a vasectomy in his 20's and he had it reversed when we met in 2005. If we had just gone straight to IVF, I would have been about 37 when we had our baby together, but we tried a lot of other stuff, only delaying our pregnancy. If you are diagnosed by a doctor you trust that you have infertility, I would suggest taking their advice and not wasting time. My sister became pregnant naturally at the age of 42, and my great grandmother had my grandmother when she was 43! 40 and over is not a "death sentence" for fertility unless you have been diagnosed with a definitive issue.
Re: 41 and Trying to Be Hopeful
Welcome.
There's a TTC After 35 board you may want to check out.
