DD has recently discovered Winnie the Pooh and LOVES him. I can get the movies on our Verizon FiOS OnDemand, but the rentals only last 48 hours and cost 3/each. I want to buy the Piglet and Heffalump movies, but they are out of stock in stores and when I looked on Amazon, they were 30 or 40. I rarely buy movies, so maybe this is normal, but $40 for a 60 minute kids movies seems slightly nuts. Are there other places to look?
Re: am I missing something - Winnie the Pooh DVDs for $40
(Lurker popping in)
They are Disney movies, and Disney has the Vault. Movies are only available for a short time every 10 years (round about). So, when it's not that movie's time, the price goes way up since the only copies floating around are ones people bought to resell. Your best bet might just be a garage sale.
popping in too--
you can buy used via prime on amazon too. just check the description, i saw quite a few that were 10ish dollars.
I understand why they do the Vault, but I wish they wouldn't. If you see a Disney movie you like, you have to buy it right then b/c of the Vault. By the time some of the movies are released again that we don't have, my boys will probably have outgrown them.
