contraction ?

im talking about real contractions, not BH:

does pain and noticeable belly tightening go hand in hand?  Can you have pain only?  (can the uterus contract without being felt from the outside)

Im pretty sure that with real labor you feel the pain and the uterus contracts. Now wether you can feel that or not Im not too sure, I haven't been in labor yet!?

I can't remember exactly what it felt like with DD. (i'm counting on it to come screaming back to me when I go into labor with this one). You might try XP on 0-6 board...

Hope this isn't too late... with my labor with dd, I hardly ever actually felt my belly get hard, and when I did it was only really low, not the whole thing. Even at the very end.

The only reason I felt I was in labor was due to the pain. That's all.
