I am not a fan of this 2 under 2 thing, and if I could afford the time it sure would have been nice to space them out a little more. I remember I thought just Margaux was challenging! Holy poop! The worst part is I have it EASY, both girls are sweethearts, sleep well, and seem easygoing.
Just... wow.
Re: FFFC
I don't envy you. My SIL - always a thin girl - became seriously underweight and was nearly hospitalized several times from exhaustion when she had 2 under 2.
It's serious business and I give you mad props.

It gets easier, so give yourself some time. It becomes your new normal after about 6 weeks!
Aww, I'm sorry. I don't know how anyone does 2 under 2. I'm exhausted with just one and she's such a good baby--she's happy, easy going, & sleeps great. I only have one child, I don't have 2 under 2 experience, but I have a feeling it's going to get better for you. Like previous posters have said, give it some time.
Uh.. yeah.. I completely agree and wish I had the luxury of spacing out kids more, too.. I'm just grateful that I was able to have two healthy children.
Some days are definitely better than others.. yes and having good sleepers is AWESOME.. just have to remember to sleep when they do.. I ventured out again today to Whole Foods... just to get OUT of the house!!! It took me 2 hours to get out the door... almost had to feed him again before I could leave!!
I keep telling myself that this will get easier.... and I'm also enjoying all the sweet moments between the two of them... B sharing with, caring for.. kissing her baby brother. Absolutely precious.
I hope it gets better for you soon. I can not even imagine that. Maybe that's why we are not planning on having another one. I know Ian will eventually want a friend, but at this point in our lives (both me and DH are still working on our PhD s) there is no way I can fit another baby. And later...will be probably too late.
I admire you all with 2 under 2!
Mine will be 2.5 yrs apart and I am scared. #1 is an absolute dream of a child, never gets sick, sleeps and eats well and is a very happy little man. I am praying that #2 is the same, otherwise I could be done for.
I am finding these first few wks of pg really tough though. #1 has started waking really early in the am, and with DH working nights, that means mom is on duty with less sleep than normal. Oh well, this too shall pass. I am also having nausea this time around that I didn't have last time.
As it stands, we are pushing it as it is being pg at 40. We were very lucky this time around and got the job done in only 2 months of trying (even faster than with #1), but of course we figured it would take longer and I didn't want to have to deliver after 41, so mission accomplished there. Enjoy your babies, I'm sure it gets easier and the joy they bring, makes the sleep deprivation and being run ragged worth it in the end. Take it easy when you can!
