Postpartum Depression

XP: Short fuse = PPD ?

For the past few weeks I have been feeling like everything is frustrating me. I have a really short fuse with DH & DD. I know it is not sleep deprivation (Ds gives me a good 5 hour stretch every night) and it is not stress as I have a lot of help.  I feel bad that I have been snapping at Dh and my other family members. Do you think this a symptom of PPD?

  • I experienced the same thing, and yes, it's a classic symptom of PPD.

  • Yes, as PP said, irritability is a classic sign of PPD/PPA

  • I was just going to post this EXACT question.

While I feel tired, I get 9+ hours of sleep per night. But I have a ridiculously short fuse with everything. Everything bugs me, annoys me, feels like it's overwhelming me and I snap. Literally at this moment, I feel like my heart is going to jump out of my chest, I feel so anxious.
