DH and I like to play this game and I'm feeling particularly day dreamy today so...

What would you do if you won the lottery?  (The big lottery, like $500million).

Hmm if i won the lottery i love this game! 500 million wow, i would definetly donate atleast 200 million to animal shelters, cancer reasearch etc etc.. I dont think anyone can spend that much in a life time. 1 million in the bank would make you about 100k a year interest.. I would give to family and close friends. Then go buy a super nice personalized house!! Trips ofcourse, a car! and just live well and do whatever i wanted from there on out..

The first thing I would do is pay off all debts, both mine & DH's.  College fund for LO, set up nice retirement accounts for DH & I.  Get a financial advisor & an accountant to help me manage my money best.  Get lipo, a tummy tuck, boob lift, & a personal trainer.

Buy a house in the caribbean (like St. Kitts) for vacations, buy a house back home in Puerto Rico so I have somewhere to stay while visiting, fix up my current house for renting, & get a bigger home with a housekeeper.

Take care of my mom, dad, sister, etc. & pretty much smooth sailing from there!

This!! Also we would pay off the debts of our parents and siblings, and set aside some cash for the college funds of our nieces, nephews and grandchildren.

Then we would buy a vacation home in Greece, as well as a business there and a couple businesses here. Buy some land and build the home we dream of. Replace both of our vehicles. Buy a big tract of the land at the lake for the family. Set up some donations. And give lots of gifts!

I love these answers!  Other than the obvious take care of our family and college fund for LO and retirement, I am going to get a chef and someone to clean and do all of our laundry.  I would start a really cool college scholorship fund or something fun at my old college and then I would buy a club box to all the local sports teams (well maybe just football and baseball).

I'd set up some sort of endowment for college money for my kids, their kids, their kids, their kids, etc. Also, my (future) nieces and nephews and my BFFs kids. Buy a nice house and buy my BFF the house next door. Pay off my parents house or buy them a new one if they wanted. Buy myself and everyone I know new cars. I'd use a portion of it for charity, but again I think I'd set up some sort of fund so the money could earn interest and go farther. Travel with ours kids.

I would set up a scholarship for OOP IFers at my clinic (50 million)

Donate to breast cancer research (100 million)

Animal shelters, ASPCA, and WWF  (50 million)

Pay off all debts and parents debts 

Set up trust funds for my children and nieces and nephews (1 million each, so 8 million total)

Take a world cruise 

Build my dream home

Pay for DH to get his private pilot's license & a jet

Buy a few just for fun cars

And set aside money for the rest of our lives

Anything left over I would donate to various charities like cancer research, children's hospitals, etc

The biiiig lottery?

1. Pay off all debts i.e. student loans, mortgage, credit cards

2. See a financial advisor about setting up something for ourselves and Nora to keep us financially sound (In case we let the money get to our heads. I've seen those "Lottery Ruined My LIfe" shows!!)

3. Pay of our parents' debts and give them enough money to live off of comfortably.

4. Set up college funds for Nora, as well as our nieces and nephews.

5. Give a decent chunk of money to our siblings and a couple of best friends to do with as they please.

6. Give money to our favorite charities.

7. Set up a scholarship fund at the 2 inner-city high schools in our city. (I teach at an inner-city middle school)

8. New cars, new house, traveling, lots of frivolous spending (but with a set budget with which to be frivolous.)

9. Hire a personal trainer, housekeeper, chef.

I seriously dream about this on a daily basis because it would help sooooooo much.

I would:

Pay off all debts
Give a substantial amount to both mine and DH's parents and siblings
Deposit some into our childrens college funds
Move back to Southern California and buy a house
DH would quit his job and focus on his start up company
Invest
Put some in savings
Do a little shopping (because their must be shopping)
Buy a new car
Go on a fabulous vacation

Build a new home with everything new in it.

Buy our selves new vehicles, and the 3 older ones.

Buy the oldest her own home save money for the others when they are old enough to have their own.

Put money away for all of our children, for college or what ever they might need in the future (give them a large sum when they get married) 

Give each family member (parents and siblings) a set amount and tell them that's all they get.  Seriously could see a few of them blowing it all and then asking for more so, you get what you get once.  

Take our dream vacation to Disney World stay at our dream resort and let the kids all pick out what they want at the shops.

Have vacation homes in New York and Florida

Quit my job.

Pay off all our debt.

Fantastic savings accounts for both kids, plus great retirements for us. Set up separate funds for their weddings/families.

Adopt a couple more kids (plan to do this anyway, but winning the lottery would speed the timing up)

Fix our house up to the point where we can sell it, then buy or build our dream house, with a complete rehearsal and recording suite for DH. It would have to be on a good chunk of land so I could have a huge garden/mini farm.

Give everyone in my and DH's immediate families really awesome gifts, but not money, because that gets awkward...

Donate a reasonable amount to scientific research. Set up a fund for people who've gone bankrupt as a result of medical bills, so that they can get back on their feet.

Super fun game!  I've always wanted to ask my church if there was a family in need anywhere and pay their bills for an entire month - I would probably want to do this every month for a while.  Donate the rest (up to half of the winnings) to various charities - breast cancer research for sure since we just lost my aunt to breast cancer.  Family and close friends give $$ to.

For us - quit jobs, travel, cars for the hubby (I'm not a big car fan LOL - I love my Mazda 3), probably flip houses.

Pay off debts, set up college funds for our kids and our nieces and nephews, set up our parents and our siblings with whatever kind of housing situation they'd like (pay off their mortgages, buy them something new, whatever), get a couple of homes for us in various places around the US/Canada/Europe, buy a kickass RV, hire a nanny/tutor/housekeeper/personal trainer/personal chef/massage therapist.

DH and I talk about this everyday. In fact I'm going to buy a powerball ticket after LO goes to bed. We have land all picked out next to a lake and it's like 160 acres or something crazy like that for 2 million so obviously we would sell our house or give it to a family member. DH loves his prius so he'd prob keep it. I would really like a Subaru (total mom car). We have our dream house plans already done (I'm an architecture student). We would probably need a small (nothing fancy) boat for the lake, fill up our future wine cellar with wines from the fingerlakes wineries, I want Indian runner ducks so bad, we want a bigger dog (we have 2 pugs) so I'd like ?an Aussie Shepard or a Peruvian Inca Orchid,?I'd buy new clothes but really not anything too expensive, put lots of money in LO's account for her future (college), travel and give the rest to family, friends and WVIA because we listen and watch all the time and so does LO.

Take care of my siblings who I worry about a lot. (My sister is a completely nonfunctioning schizophrenic and lives in my grandmother's basement, which is SO sad. She hasn't been "in the real world" for years now, and my family won't/can't do anything to help her.) I don't know how functioning my youngest brother is. I try not to go back home because my family depresses me :-(

Get a cabin somewhere--Montana, Alaska, or even Joseph, Oregon.

Only guest teach and do writing workshops.

Write, read, spend time with my favorite people (who are horses, dogs, and cats :-)

Donate money to this sad, little animal shelter I used to volunteer at in Florida.
