Can you freeze banana bread?

I have a large number of frozen riped bananas and thought I would make a big batch of banana bread. Question is can I feeze the bread after I make it?

Definitely! I find it freezes really well. I wrap it tightly in plastic wrap and then in either foil or put it in a freezer bag.

This is exactly what I do.

  • It freezers great up too a year.

  • Yup! I'm about to make banana bread too - actually, I make muffins and freeze them.

Sometimes I slice up the bread and wrap each slice and then freeze. Then I just have to get a slice or 2 and don't have to defrost the whole loaf.

Yes, you can. I also do this-freeze the bananas if they go brown and just pull them out when I want to bake bread/mufifins.

I do muffins too. DH loves them. I'll cook several dozen and freeze. He can get them out when he wants them.
