I usually go Sunday morning, Tues and Thurs night after the kids have gone to bed. H knows how important exercising is to me, so he arranges his schedule to make sure he's able to watch LOs.
I've been trying to do 30 minutes of yoga/ aerobic on the wii fit every morning but I don't do great. Thankfully DH is in school and is mostly home with E so I can leave her with him and get that done most mornings. At night we've been trying to go for a walk but it's so hot here that it doesn't always happen. I can't wait until fall when I can start up again. Overall I say I do about 30 minutes three or four times a week. Not nearly enough since I've been gaining weight. Grrr.
I'm not a working mom but when I take walks I use the Off clip it seems to work. I clip it to her carseat by her feet. I think she's had one bite all summer.
I started back to work Monday. Mon, Wed. and today I got up at 4:30 to pump, do the 30DS, get LO up, change, feed, put him in stroller go for a 5k run/walk, back home to shower and head to work by 8 am. Tues and Thurs. it's 30ds only so I don't have to get up til about 5:30 to give time for pumping, video, baby time then get ready for work. Weekends I'll head to the gym for crosstraining/lapswimming. LO goes to bed at 7pm, and I'm asleep no later then 9:30. Hopefully I'll be able to keep up this routine.
DH and I joined a gym a few weeks ago and we go about 4-5 times a week. We go for an hour and a half around 8pm and drop LO at the grandparents. They dont mind it one bit and we get out workout in. They have child care at the gym but I just dont see the point when the gparents are literally down the street from the gym.
I'm so impressed with everyone who is working out plus working. I am only working part time but I haven't been able to squeeze a good workout in since I went back at the beginning of August. I walk over 2 miles in my commute to and from the train station but after my total 1.5 hour commute (one way) I feel way too exhausted when I'm home. And then I spend my days off with LO and cleaning the house. I need to figure out a schedule so I can get workouts back in the mix.
Re: Working moms...
I'm doing couch to 5k, it only takes 30 min 3 times/week. I do it in the evenings after both kiddos are in bed, around 8 pm.
I also just signed up for a bootcamp with a couple of friends that meets Sundays from 6-7 pm.
Lastly I try to go on at least 1 long walk per week (usually on the weekend), 45-60 min.
Overall I say I do about 30 minutes three or four times a week. Not nearly enough since I've been gaining weight. Grrr.
