Intro and question about Oakdale OBGYN (Maple Grove)

Hello!  I'm at the very beginning stages of pregnancy with my 1st!  I am excited and nervous all at once.  I went in for my first appointment yesterday and my first ultrasound is next week.

My family practice doc just recently stopped delivering babies and now I have to find an OB.  She recommended Oakdale OBGYN or Northwestern Family Physicians (but I'm not clear if they deliver anywhere but Robbinsdale North Memorial).  Does anyone have any opinions (good or bad) about this clinic?  If you don't but plan on delivering at MG Hospital, who do you see?

Thanks ladies!  I appreciate the help!  Lurking around here has answered a lot of questions already!

Re: Intro and question about Oakdale OBGYN (Maple Grove)

  • Oakdale is good, I would recommend Dr. Manneh or Sarkinin. I would also highly recommend North Metro Midwives who deliver at Maple Grove as well.

  • We went to obstetrics gynecology and infertility p.a. LOVED them! I never waited more than 5 minutes for an appointment and I loved Dr. Graiczyk. And they deliver at Maple Grove.

  • I just had my baby at maple grove in June. Oakdale is my clinic and I love them. My primary doc is dr sarkinen, but they recommend you see as many different docs as you can during your pregnancy so you may be familiar with the delivery doc. I saw almost everyone and I never had a negative experience.Dr martinie delivered at maple grove and she was great. And even though l&d and recovery was apparently busy, I never knew it, it was so quiet and peaceful the whole time I was there. The nurses were incredibly helpful and attentive. I would recommend both highly. H&h 9 months!
  • I go to Oakdale OBGYN in MG and highly recommend them.

I started going there last year right after I found out I was pregnant and love them!  I chose not to have a primary doctor, and just see whoever is available; by going that route I was able to meet all but one of the drs and one of the cnp during my pregnancy (DD was delivered by Dr Noyes).  If you plan to BF, Kelly Ihry is a LC and was extremely helpful when I was having issues in the beginning.  The nurses and front desk staff were also fantastic.  I never waited more than 30 minutes (and that only happened once), usually I barely sat down and they were calling me back even when I was early.
