Good Morning My Pretties!

How's everyone this morning? I'm so glad it's Friday and a long weekend. I don't know about you but this week has seemed to drag on. DH is off today so he's mulching all the new flowerbeds. It's my coworkers birthday and our boss is taking us out for lunch (nice change). Overall it should be a wonderful day!

Apparently I'm too slow.  Ha!  Here's what I had above before:

 

I'm in for a half day today.  I'd hoped to not come in at all, but, like with every long weekend, a last minute VERY URGENT project request came in, so I'm here!

I'm rather annoyed with this whole tell-his-parents-we're-KU thing.  H was on the phone with his mom last night and she was all "is there going to be an announcement when you visit tomorrow????".  Apparently H had told her that we were trying.  This kinda pisses me off.  IMO, that's over share.  I wish she would just shut-it and let us have our moment.  I'm going to have to remind H to tell her to keep her mouth shut about this.  I can just see this getting out to her whole family and then one of the weirdo cousin's outting us on FB.  GAH!!  Ok, I feel a bit better now that I've gotten that out.

Anywho, this weekend should be fun!  I get to hang out with kittens and 3 y/o girls, always fun in my book.

Good morning ladies!

I could not be more excited about it being Friday!! Unfortunately I am in ALLLL day today.. but I did take Wednesday off, so I guess it's fair. lol 

No plans for me this weekend, I just want to catch up on doing stuff around the house + read some books that I've started and not finished.. also I want to do some baking ! I love 3 day weekends..

Raynes - that would piss me off too! This is why I won't tell anyone that we're trying, because I don't want questions like that! and both of our moms have the biggest mouths so the entire family would know before we had a chance to tell them!

Raynes - That would piss me off too. When you tell her, if she says "I knew it" it would take everything in me not to hit her lol I don't understand why, if people suspect it, they feel the need to "out" you before you make the announcement yourself. I know they're excited but stop, breathe and think before you throw comments around. I am worried about the same thing too. I am friends with most of my cousins on FB and if my parents spill the beans to theirs I guarantee one of them will say something on FB. DH suggested when the time comes I block my wall so people can't post anything but that in itself might create suspicion. So I'll just tell my parents that they cannot tell a soul, NO ONE until I tell them it's okay.

My biggest fear is my Mom will blab (she has a big mouth) and someone will say something on FB before DH & I get to tell our best friends who all live out of town. Both my GF are dealing with IF and telling them is going to be heartbreaking as it is if they hear it on FB...God I could throw up just thinking about it. You need to tell your DH to stress to his Mom how important it is that she keep her blab hole shut lol

rocky -  You sound so much like me! It's crazy! I plan to get caught up on laundry, bake some muffins & cupcakes. I have a recipe for Blueberry Zucchini Bread so I'm going to make them into mini loaves as well and I just bought Eat, Prey, Love at Chapters last night so I'm going to read it. I saw the movie but never read the book.

megs - How's the new office!?

I think I decided that I well tell our parents after the first U/S, and then wait to tell everyone else til after 1st tri.. incase anything bad happens, I want my mom to know what's going on.. Now I would have to swear her to secrecy lol she will be bursting, I can imagine!

Karrot - I was reading that book, watched the movie and then couldn't be bothered to finish the book. lol I got booored! I am in the middle of The Help, and in the middle of Room.

I will be making super delicious (and healthy) blueberry-banana muffins, possibly some peanut butter cookies too..

Once we enter 2nd Trimester I'll tell everyone else.

Eekkkkkk I want us all to get pregnant now! lol (Except megs because she is waiting until after Mexico, but she can get knocked up in Mexico!)

Yeah, it would be impossible for us to wait for the 1st U/S, as that won't be happening until 18 weeks.

I said I'd wait to tell parents until no bad news came back from my blood work.  I think we'll wait to tell the world until after we hear the HB at my 12 wk apt.

Ohh I didn't realize that the first U/S took so long.. I feel like it's different for some people though? My bff sent me hers before she was out of 1st tri.

If I wasn't sure of the dates for my LMP I would have had a dating U/S (no idea when) but because I knew, they don't do one until later (as long as there are no complications).

That would rock! My GF is due with her 2nd on April 24th so it would be so awesome to be off on Mat leave with a friend. I wouldn't go so stir crazy!

Raynes - Yeah I doubt I could wait until 18weeks. I didn't realize that you don't get an ultrasound until 18 weeks. That sucks!

I know!  I was like "whaaa??".  I mean, if we do IPS (integrated prenatal screening, sort of like the NT scan in the US) we'll get one between 11-14 weeks.  We're probably going to do that.  I dont' know.  I'm torn on it!

 Yeah I am torn too as to whether we would do it or not also.

So I have to confess. Last night I went to Bonnie Togs to buy my nephew something for Christmas (I start my shopping early) and I saw a onesie that says "Daddy's Little Backseat Driver" and I literally laughed out loud. I always tell DH he is a backseat driver and I really do hate driving when he's in the truck. He is obnoxious to drive with. So anyway, I had to buy it. I thought that when we get our BFP I will give him the onesie and the book I bought him at Chapters about being a "Dad to Be". I'm pretty superstitious but I just couldn't resist. I was so worried that painting our guestroom the color we would want the nursery to be (so we didn't have to paint again) was jinxing it and yet I caved and bought an OUTFIT. EEK!

I don't have any female friends here, my bff lives 45 mins away and is a stay at home mama until her daughter goes to school (in 2 years) so I'd have her sometimes.. otherwise I'll be joining lots of mom + baby programs and stuff to meet other moms..

I would LOVE to buy my H a daddy-related onesie to give him when we get our BFP! I just haven't gotten around to shopping without him.. maybe next week when he's on afternoons  I'm so nervous about jinxing anything though.. I haven't bought any books or baby-related stuff except my diaper bag.
