RNP and Snugabunny Q's

Ok, so you guys have totally helped me make up my mind to buy a RNP.

The only thing left that I need to reconcile is the weight minimums- you know how car seats have a weight minimum? These items don't- or at least, I can't find any info.

How much did your LO's weigh when you started using these? Jonah will only be about 4 lbs 12 oz.

Re: RNP and Snugabunny Q's

  • Weight minimum wasn't an issue for us as Kevin was around 7lbs by discharge.  I still would have used the RNP even under 5lbs. That thing is amazeballs!

Same thing applies for the snugabunny - especially at first we didn't even bother strapping him in - he couldn't move around so there was no fear of him falling out.  I did think his swing was crazy fast and as going to fling him across the room but that was just first time mom jitters.

  • Gabe came home a 4lb2oz and we used both immediately.

  • I can't remember Scarlette's weight- 5lb something I think. Anyhow, she was so tiny in the RNP, we got a kiddopotamus snuzzler and put that in it. It held her in all nice and cozy. I think the Snugabunny is the bouncer, right? Ours is a different version but the NICU let us bring ours in when S was not even 4 pounds. We just snuggled her in w/blankets.

  • I think Anna was 4lbs 9oz when we brought her home.  She used the RNP the first night, I just put a Snuzzler in there with her.
