Has anyone ever had a interthical?

With my first bb i had a interthical...i havent heard of anyone else having one..is anyone familiar with them?? If i do any kind of pain relief this time it will be the same, just curious and looking for thoughts!! Thanks Gals!!

    I did last year with DD#1 and for me, it didn't do a thing.  I know it's different for everyone.  Some have told me it's temporarily numbed them but for me, at the very most, allowed me to rest more in between contractions for maybe an hour.  I wasn't going to do it again, but if that is a little energy I can save for pushing, I think it might be worth it in the end.

    Similar to an epidural - an intrathecal is put into the intrathecal space (in the spinal column) instead of the epidural space.
