I live in Hamilton and work downtown. I called the Childtime locations downtown and one near my home and they are about $200-215 for only 3 days a week. I know infant childcare is not cheap but that is more than I'm willing to spend. Right now we have a combination of my mom, DH, and two friends watching him during the week and I'm home on the weekends.
I want to have a more structured environment for him and I don't like that he is with so many different people. I guess what I'm asking is, does anyone know of less expensive childcare options? I'm open to full time care but was trying to save money by doing part time. TIA!

Re: Part-Time Infant Childcare
I explored part-time care options, but in NKY. I did find 2 places that took infants part-time (it's hard to come by part-time care for infants, easier once they are a year old).
We ended up at Little Red Schoolhouse full-time, but the rate is less expensive than the other part-time rates. Not only was it less expensive, but I fell in love with the infant childcare provider, the facility and their practices. When you're checking into rates ask if they offer discounts based on your employer and if there are discounts if you pay so many weeks ahead of time.
Good luck!
We go 2 days/week to a daycare center. It's not in your area of town, but when we were searching I basically emailed all of the centers with reasonable reports on ODJFS (search child care for violation reports), and specifically asked about part time care for my then 2 year old. Some couldn't accomodate, but most could.
GL in your search.
