Donating blood

We have a blood drive at work today and I was excited cause my iron levels were finally good enough to give and they poked both arms and got nothing :( at least both of my arms will match with bruises and not to mention I got a free tshirt and warm chic chip cookies!

    What!!! Cookies!!! They are doing one here next week- but I think I have to wait a year after a blood transfusion? I have no idea, i need to ask the doctor when I go see him. I'm sure the workers would know though. Free t-shirts are the best pajama shirts too ;-)

    They are the best pj shirts! The cookies were delicious!!! When I answered my qustionaire it asks if you've had a transfusion onthe past 12 months. I would assume they will make you wait

    Thats awesome. Hopefully it draws more ppl out that way. I used to give once a year, up until I got pregnant- my work always has blood drives, and so does the church.

    I got 4 or 5 pints of blood, and I was so creeped out and had a hard time making that decision. Then I stopped for a minute and thought, "Thank God people give blood, because here it is for me." According to the doctors it would have taken me months to recoop on my own.

    Kudos to you Mama!!!
